OUR FOUNDING STORY
Henry conceived the idea of the weighted cape after purchasing a weighted blanket for his wife. "After using it a few times myself, I had a lightbulb moment," he explains. He envisioned transforming a conventional cutting cape into a multifunctional tool designed to enhance the client experience. Initially, his goal was to add an extra layer of comfort for his clients. However, he soon realized its potential extended far beyond comfort. The weighted cape could serve a therapeutic purpose, particularly for neuro-divergent individuals, espeically children with autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and more. This serendipitous discovery ignited a new mission and purpose for Henry: to create a product that not only provides comfort but also offers therapeutic benefits, making the hair-cutting experience more inclusive for everyone.
Henry is now a Sensory Safe Certified barber in Downtown Dallas, specializing in sensory-friendly haircuts for kids on the spectrum. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves a stylish cut without struggle or discomfort, he creates a calming, inclusive experience—and is committed to making it the industry standard.
